So, while I was at FC I saw a lot of my fellow huskies with these harnesses that work two-fold:

1) It looks sorta cool on a sled-dog (like me...)

2) It gives you something to attach a sled (or other things) to for husky pulls

Now, there is a fur named Shortwave who makes most of these harnesses, and he sells them through the (VERY NSFW) site FetishZone.net as the "SPH Sled Dog Harness." (His company is SPH Products.) It seems that that's the preferred source. I had two problems, tho: I wasn't really wanting to patronize such a site and I didn't have the 180 or so dollars that all this stuff would cost to buy (I actually contacted Shortwave directly to ask about some other purchasing arrangement, but it was still cost prohibitive).

So I started Googling. After much searching, I found StrapWorks, who seemed to be carrying all the materials I needed to fabricate my own harness if I could just get the plans figured out based on my con photos.

My good friend Yama (who also made the bone-tag that says "Damon" in the picture) came to my aid and managed to de-engineer and CAD/CAM the harnesses. I ordered materials, assembled the collar, harness and cuffs with shiny chromy metal parts, and voila!

Total cost for materials: about 70 dollars.

Assembly time: about 5 hours.
